Mount Hood / Columbia Gorge

The Columbia Gorge is rich with geological significance and a magnet for outdoor enthusiasts.

The region is filled with amazing cliffs, gorgeous waterfalls and Mount Hood, the tallest peak in Oregon standing at 11,249 feet. Mount Hood is home to the longest ski season and the largest night skiing location in North America. The Dalles and Hood River, Oregon, provide world class windsurfing and other sporting activities.

The Hood River valley is also dotted with farms and orchards and produces some delicious fruit, including apples, blueberries, apricots and pears.

The region is home to Full Sail Brewing Company, and a Google data center the size of two football fields resides in Hood River. The largest bronze foundry in America, with its adjacent bronze sculpture gallery, can be found in Sandy, Oregon.
