Y gracias a los esfuerzos de Jeff y su personal, Depoe Bay recibir\u00e1 una importante financiaci\u00f3n.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Conocido como el &quot;puerto navegable m\u00e1s peque\u00f1o del mundo&quot;, el puerto de Depoe Bay es el hogar de varias peque\u00f1as embarcaciones de pesca, as\u00ed como un brazo de la Guardia Costera de Oreg\u00f3n. Sin embargo, en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os, el puerto de Depoe Bay ha sufrido por la falta de dragado, lo que ha puesto en peligro el paso seguro de la Guardia Costera y de los barcos de pesca por igual. Tanto la industria pesquera como las operaciones de la Guardia Costera frente a la costa de Oreg\u00f3n son de vital importancia para la econom\u00eda y la seguridad locales, y la acumulaci\u00f3n de sedimentos cerca del muelle de combustible bloque\u00f3 el acceso de los barcos.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>A fines de 2018, los funcionarios de Depoe Bay se comunicaron con el equipo de Jeff y dijeron que el ciclo de dragado de cinco a\u00f1os de la bah\u00eda ya no era sostenible. El puerto se drag\u00f3 por \u00faltima vez en 2014, pero ya hac\u00eda mucho tiempo que se necesitaba un dragado y los funcionarios locales estaban desesperados.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Jeff inmediatamente abord\u00f3 el caso y, trabajando con los funcionarios locales, su defensa asegur\u00f3 que los fondos para el dragado del puerto de Depoe Bay se incluyeran en el presupuesto del Cuerpo de Ingenieros del Ej\u00e9rcito de EE.
