Washington DC<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 Los senadores estadounidenses Ron Wyden y Jeff Merkley y los representantes estadounidenses Earl Blumenauer, Suzanne Bonamici, Lori Chavez-DeRemer, Val Hoyle y Andrea Salinas dijeron hoy que est\u00e1n instando al Departamento de Comercio a emitir una declaraci\u00f3n expedita de desastre de recursos pesqueros para Oreg\u00f3n. lo que desencadenar\u00eda ayuda federal inmediata.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cEl valor del salm\u00f3n para Oreg\u00f3n no se puede subestimar\u201d,<\/strong> escribieron los miembros en una carta a la Secretaria de Comercio Gina Raimondo. \u201cAdem\u00e1s de la actividad econ\u00f3mica generada por esta industria, el salm\u00f3n es una parte importante del patrimonio cultural de las tribus del noroeste del Pac\u00edfico y es un recurso natural preciado en todo el estado.
