Jeff entiende que un pilar fundamental de este sistema es garantizar que las familias trabajadoras tengan acceso asequible a las instituciones de educaci\u00f3n superior y que estas instituciones reciban los fondos que necesitan.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Como miembro del Subcomit\u00e9 de Educaci\u00f3n del Comit\u00e9 de Asignaciones del Senado, trabaja arduamente para asegurarse de que el dinero federal llegue a manos de instituciones de educaci\u00f3n superior como la Universidad de Oreg\u00f3n. Recientemente, el Centro de Estudios Aplicados de Segundo Idioma de la U of O recibi\u00f3 una subvenci\u00f3n del Departamento de Educaci\u00f3n de EE. UU. que proporcionar\u00e1 fondos para soluciones innovadoras para mejorar el aprendizaje de idiomas en contextos extranjeros, secundarios y patrimoniales.
