El Proyecto de Conectividad y Conservaci\u00f3n de Minam en el noreste de Oreg\u00f3n y el Proyecto del Bosque de las Monta\u00f1as Tualatin en el noroeste de Oreg\u00f3n se encuentran entre los 34 proyectos a nivel nacional que recibieron fondos para proteger los bosques en funcionamiento para la vida silvestre, las personas y la resiliencia clim\u00e1tica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Un comunicado de prensa del lunes dice que la fase II del Proyecto de Conectividad para la Conservaci\u00f3n de Minam adquirir\u00e1 10,964 acres de tierras forestales en funcionamiento y un corredor a lo largo del r\u00edo Minam en los condados de Union y Wallowa. Encabezado por la Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, este proyecto conservar\u00e1 cuencas panor\u00e1micas en m\u00e1s de 2,4 millones de acres de tierras p\u00fablicas adyacentes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
El proyecto Tualatin Mountain Forest asegurar\u00e1 un bosque de 3,111 acres cerca de Scappoose como un bosque de investigaci\u00f3n en funcionamiento que ser\u00e1 propiedad de la Universidad Estatal de Oregon y ser\u00e1 administrado por ella. El proyecto servir\u00e1 como modelo nacional para un bosque gestionado activamente, mitigar\u00e1 el cambio clim\u00e1tico y crear\u00e1 acceso p\u00fablico y oportunidades de recreaci\u00f3n, dicen los funcionarios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
