Washington, D.C. \u2013 Oregon\u2019s U.S. Senator Jeff Merkley and Indiana\u2019s Senator Mike Braun, along with U.S. Representatives Jimmy Panetta (D-CA-19) and Rudy Yakym (R-IN-02), introduced a bipartisan, bicameral resolution to recognize the importance of pollinators to ecosystem health and agriculture in the United States by designating June 16 through June 22, 2024, as \u201cNational Pollinator Week.\u201d The resolution emphasizes the vital role native pollinators play in the health of our ecosystems and economies while highlighting the difficulties many pollinator species face, including the iconic Western Monarch butterfly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By all of us doing our part, we can help pollinators like the iconic Western Monarch recover and thrive in Oregon and across the nation.
