Bipartisan Infrastructure Law provides federal funds for airports in Christmas Valley, Scappoose, Hermiston, Ontario, Tillamook, Lakeview, North Bend and Bend<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Washington D.C.\u2014<\/em><\/strong>Senators Ron Wyden and Jeff Merkley today announced a federal investment of more than $2.3 million from the Ley de Infraestructura Bipartidista <\/em>for eight rural airports throughout Oregon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cFrom timely access to lifesaving medicines, to opportunities for small businesses to deliver their goods quickly, rural airports are often the lifeblood of small communities throughout the state,\u201d dijo Wyden.<\/strong> \u201cI am gratified that my work on the Ley de Infraestructura Bipartidista<\/em> continues to generate much-needed support for Oregon communities to flourish in every nook and cranny of the state.\u201d  <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

“Oregon’s regional airports serve as vital hubs for our communities \u2013 supporting local businesses, connecting travelers to world-class recreational opportunities, and providing essential lifelines during natural disasters,” dijo Merkley.<\/strong> “These federal investments will modernize infrastructure at airports across Oregon,\u202fensuring safety and fostering economic success in our state.”  <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The investments from the Federal Aviation Administration in Oregon airports are as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7         <\/strong>Scappoose, Port of Columbia County: $341,429<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7         <\/strong>Hermiston, City of Hermiston: $182,786<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7         <\/strong>Ontario, City of Ontario: $128,852<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7         <\/strong>Tillamook, Port of Tillamook Bay: $274,180<\/p>\n\n\n\n
