Oregonians\u2019 thoughts help shape my work in Congress, including positions on policies, ideas for bills, and strategies for securing resources for every corner of our state,\u201d<strong>\u202fMerkley said.\u202f\u202f<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOver the course of the more than\u00a0570\u00a0town\u00a0halls I\u2019ve held since Oregonians sent me to the Senate, I\u2019ve seen how these events provide respectful, safe spaces for people to express their unique points of view during these often-divisive times. We all benefit significantly when we leave our comfort zone and open ourselves up to new ways of looking at issues\u2014me included.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI am thrilled\u202fto be hitting the road again to meet with Oregonians from all walks of life in their communities.\u201d\u202f\u202f&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since taking office in 2009, Senator Merkley has kept his promise to hold an open\u00a0town\u00a0hall\u00a0for each of Oregon\u2019s 36 counties every year.
