I\u2019m ecstatic that over $8 million will go to Roberts Field airport in Redmond to provide Oregonians with the quality transportation they deserve. I\u2019ll always fight to bring big wins home to Oregon\u2019s Fifth.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The $9.71 million in grants from the Federal Aviation Administration will be distributed as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Roberts Field, Redmond &#8211; $8.38 million<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hobby Field, Creswell &#8211; $448,000<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mulino State Airport, Mulino &#8211; $336,500<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Roseburg Regional Airport, Roseburg &#8211; $300,000<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ashland Municipal\/Sumner Parker Field, Ashland &#8211; $159,000<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Condon State Pauling Field, Condon &#8211; $76,000<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>&#8220;We are grateful for the leadership and advocacy of U.S. Senators Ron Wyden and Jeff Merkley, as well as U.S. Representatives Val Hoyle and Janelle Bynum, in securing this crucial funding,&#8221;&nbsp;<\/strong>said Redmond Airport Director Zachary Bass.<strong>&nbsp;&#8220;This federal investment underscores the strategic importance of Redmond Airport to the future of our region. The $8.38 million will support a transformative terminal expansion, adding over 80,000 square feet, increasing capacity, and enhancing accessibility. Beyond improving the travel experience, this project will drive local economic growth, create hundreds of construction and airport industry jobs, and strengthen Central Oregon\u2019s connection to national markets.&#8221;<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>\u201cThe City of Condon appreciates the FFA grant to make much needed improvements to Condon\u2019s Linus Pauling Field,\u201d&nbsp;<\/strong>said Condon Mayor&nbsp;Dustan Hall.<strong>&nbsp;\u201cThis state airport is an integral part of the agricultural and tourism industry in Gilliam County.\u201d&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Wyden, Merkley, Hoyle and Bynum have long supported rural airports across Oregon. In May, the Oregon delegation announced\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/urldefense.com\/v3\/__https:\/www.wyden.senate.gov\/news\/press-releases\/oregon-delegation-seven-airports-in-state-earn-more-than-22-million-in-federal-grants__;!!Bg5easoyC-OII2vlEqY8mTBrtW-N4OJKAQ!OFXZEygeDFwA8b-A64M-CHYIgL23EtLbMFdxbHZrkd1d4mR2Mg01z-1_cYeJySnaEKaZ_VBdc0fT8v0tPXDT1S3r48EST6aUBGWf$\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">$22 million<\/a>\u00a0for airport infrastructure investments across the state.
