El objetivo ser\u00eda ayudar a abordar los desaf\u00edos que enfrentan las comunidades rurales.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>En un comunicado de su oficina, Merkley afirma que actualmente no existe una oficina de salud rural dedicada dentro de los CDC para identificar los desaf\u00edos de salud \u00fanicos que enfrentan los estadounidenses rurales, como enfermedades card\u00edacas, c\u00e1ncer, lesiones no intencionales, enfermedades cr\u00f3nicas de las v\u00edas respiratorias inferiores y accidentes cerebrovasculares, en comparaci\u00f3n con personas que viven en \u00e1reas urbanas.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Seg\u00fan la legislaci\u00f3n propuesta, la nueva Oficina de Salud Rural tendr\u00eda la tarea de mejorar las disparidades de salud y los desaf\u00edos que enfrentan los hospitales y distritos de salud rurales en comparaci\u00f3n con sus contrapartes urbanas. La oficina servir\u00eda como el principal punto de contacto para los proveedores de atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica rural y los CDC para intercambiar y compartir informaci\u00f3n.
