These federal funds will help communities replace aging water infrastructure, strengthen public health protections, and ensure clean drinking water for generations to come.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>\u201cAll Oregonians deserve clean water and achieving that vital public health mission requires consistent and robust federal investment in modern infrastructure throughout our state,\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;dijo Wyden.&nbsp;<strong>\u201cI\u2019m glad our work to secure these federal resources has produced today\u2019s good news for clean drinking water in Oregon communities, and I\u2019ll keep battling to ensure similar statewide investments in the years ahead.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>As Lead Democrat of the Senate Interior-Environment Appropriations Subcommittee, Merkley secured a total of $2.76 billion in Fiscal Year 2026 nationwide for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.epa.gov\/cwsrf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Clean Water and Drinking Water State Revolving Funds<\/a>, which provide funding for water and wastewater projects across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Merkley and Wyden have long been champions for more resources to address aging water infrastructure.
