Washington DC<\/span><\/i><\/b> \u2013 Los senadores estadounidenses de Oreg\u00f3n, Ron Wyden y Jeff Merkley, anunciaron hoy que la Universidad Estatal de Portland (PSU) recibir\u00e1 una subvenci\u00f3n de $200.000 para un programa de doctorado destinado a abordar la escasez de docentes l\u00edderes en educaci\u00f3n especial.<\/span><\/p>\n

El programa PSU brindar\u00e1 capacitaci\u00f3n doctoral a profesionales que quieran trabajar como l\u00edderes de educaci\u00f3n especial al servicio de escuelas y programas de primera infancia. El programa de doctorado desarrollar\u00e1 conocimientos, habilidades y competencias para liderar e implementar procesos de mejora colaborativos y culturalmente receptivos para abordar los problemas actuales de la pr\u00e1ctica en educaci\u00f3n especial. El proyecto tambi\u00e9n crear\u00e1 una v\u00eda en el programa de Doctorado en Educaci\u00f3n (EdD) para obtener una licencia administrativa para abordar la continua escasez de l\u00edderes en educaci\u00f3n especial. La PSU espera contratar 15 candidatos a doctorado en el primer a\u00f1o.<\/span><\/p>\n

Este proyecto espec\u00edfico a trav\u00e9s del programa PSU EdD est\u00e1 financiado a trav\u00e9s de Programa de preparaci\u00f3n de personal<\/span><\/a> del Departamento de Educaci\u00f3n de los Estados Unidos, que ayuda al personal que atiende a ni\u00f1os con discapacidades.
