Eso ser\u00eda un golpe desastroso para las perspectivas de una soluci\u00f3n de dos estados para el conflicto israel\u00ed-palestino y para el car\u00e1cter de Israel como estado jud\u00edo y democr\u00e1tico. Los intereses de Estados Unidos e Israel en la paz, la seguridad y la democracia en la regi\u00f3n dependen de la preservaci\u00f3n del espacio para una soluci\u00f3n negociada que apoye la autodeterminaci\u00f3n tanto de israel\u00edes como de palestinos.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEs bueno ver que se evita el desastre. No obstante, la suspensi\u00f3n de la anexi\u00f3n solo parece un avance diplom\u00e1tico en el contexto de una pol\u00edtica de anexi\u00f3n que fue envalentonada en primer lugar por el &#039;plan de paz&#039; de Trump que dio luz verde a esta pol\u00edtica imprudente.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTambi\u00e9n debemos tener claro que las relaciones m\u00e1s estrechas entre Israel y los Emiratos \u00c1rabes Unidos surgen de la preocupaci\u00f3n mutua con respecto al papel de Ir\u00e1n en la regi\u00f3n. Comparto esas preocupaciones y creo que Estados Unidos deber\u00eda trabajar con aliados y socios en una estrategia diplom\u00e1tica para controlar el programa nuclear de Ir\u00e1n y otras actividades malignas.
