M\u00e1s que 40 por ciento<\/a> de la energ\u00eda utilizada en Estados Unidos es consumida por el sector manufacturero, donde existe una enorme oportunidad de ahorrar costos. Invertir en medidas rentables de eficiencia energ\u00e9tica podr\u00eda ahorrar a las empresas cientos de millones de d\u00f3lares cada a\u00f1o.<\/p>\n

Adem\u00e1s de reducir los costos de energ\u00eda, invertir en programas de fabricaci\u00f3n eficiente desde el punto de vista energ\u00e9tico multiplica el empleo. El sector de la eficiencia energ\u00e9tica ya emplea a m\u00e1s de 2 millones<\/a> trabajadores y sigue creciendo. Los trabajos bien remunerados incluyen la fabricaci\u00f3n de electrodom\u00e9sticos energ\u00e9ticamente eficientes, la instalaci\u00f3n de actualizaciones y la investigaci\u00f3n y el desarrollo tecnol\u00f3gico, entre otros.<\/p>\n

El Ley de creaci\u00f3n de empleo a trav\u00e9s de la fabricaci\u00f3n con eficiencia energ\u00e9tica<\/i> crear\u00e1 empleos en manufactura y construcci\u00f3n al autorizar hasta $600 millones para establecer un Programa de Financiamiento de Manufactura Eficiente Energ\u00e9ticamente bajo el Departamento de Energ\u00eda (DOE). Esta financiaci\u00f3n puede ser utilizada por fabricantes peque\u00f1os y medianos para mejoras de eficiencia energ\u00e9tica, como modernizaciones sostenibles, generaci\u00f3n de energ\u00eda limpia in situ, instalaciones el\u00e9ctricas que reciclan y reutilizan la energ\u00eda residual y sistemas de microrredes inteligentes. El programa da prioridad a los materiales de hierro y acero estadounidenses junto con los productos fabricados en Estados Unidos.<\/p>\n
