Washington, DC \u2013 Los senadores estadounidenses de Oreg\u00f3n, Jeff Merkley y Ron Wyden, anunciaron hoy una nueva legislaci\u00f3n bipartidista que abordar\u00eda una injusticia para algunos estudiantes que desean utilizar el Cr\u00e9dito Fiscal de Oportunidad Estadounidense (AOTC) para la educaci\u00f3n superior.<\/span><\/p>\n

El AOTC es el principal cr\u00e9dito fiscal disponible para los estudiantes que buscan una educaci\u00f3n superior; sin embargo, los estudiantes con una condena previa por un delito grave de drogas no son elegibles permanentemente para usar el cr\u00e9dito. Este requisito regresivo hace que sea m\u00e1s dif\u00edcil garantizar un reingreso exitoso para aquellos que han cumplido su condena, al limitar su capacidad para avanzar en su educaci\u00f3n y seguir una carrera.
