WASHINGTON, DC \u2014 Los senadores estadounidenses de Oreg\u00f3n, Jeff Merkley y Ron Wyden, se unieron el jueves a sus colegas para presentar la Ley de Protecci\u00f3n del Oc\u00e9ano de la Costa Oeste <\/em>prohibir permanentemente la perforaci\u00f3n mar adentro en aguas federales frente a las costas de Oreg\u00f3n, Washington y California.<\/p>\n

El a\u00f1o pasado, la administraci\u00f3n Trump public\u00f3 su plan quinquenal de arrendamiento en alta mar que propon\u00eda abrir toda la costa oeste a nuevas perforaciones a pesar de la oposici\u00f3n generalizada en los estados de la costa del Pac\u00edfico.
