Washington DC<\/i><\/b> \u2013 Los senadores estadounidenses Ron Wyden y Jeff Merkley se unieron hoy a sus colegas del Senado para oponerse a la propuesta de la administraci\u00f3n Trump de revertir las regulaciones ambientales que mejoran la seguridad de las operaciones de perforaci\u00f3n en alta mar.<\/p>\n

En una carta al Secretario del Departamento del Interior, Zinke, los senadores escribieron que la propuesta de la administraci\u00f3n erosionar\u00eda regulaciones claves de seguridad y ambientales, que requieren que la industria del petr\u00f3leo y el gas cumpla con est\u00e1ndares m\u00ednimos al perforar. \u201cRevertir estas protecciones cr\u00edticas no s\u00f3lo es irresponsable, sino tambi\u00e9n peligroso. Su propuesta de revertir la Regla de Control de Pozos y Sistemas de Prevenci\u00f3n de Reventones no redunda en el mejor inter\u00e9s de los trabajadores, los contribuyentes y el medio ambiente.
