PORTLAND, Oregon (KOIN) \u2013 Los senadores de Oregon Jeff Merkley y Ron Wyden copatrocinan un proyecto de ley que derogar\u00eda la Pol\u00edtica de la Ciudad de M\u00e9xico, Una medida antiaborto restablecida por el presidente Donald Trump<\/a> que amenaza con despojar de financiaci\u00f3n a los proveedores de atenci\u00f3n sanitaria de todo el mundo.<\/p>\n

Trump es el primer presidente que ampl\u00eda la pol\u00edtica, conocida como la ley mordaza global, haci\u00e9ndolo aplicable a todos los departamentos o agencias extranjeras que reciben ayuda sanitaria de los EE. UU.<\/a>, no s\u00f3lo grupos de planificaci\u00f3n familiar.<\/p>\n

Sin fondos estadounidenses, muchos de estos programas dejar\u00edan de existir.<\/p>\n

Merkley y Wyden se encuentran entre un grupo bipartidista de senadores detr\u00e1s del Ley Global de Salud, Empoderamiento y Derechos (HER)<\/a> eso derogar\u00eda permanentemente la pol\u00edtica.<\/p>\n

\u201cLas organizaciones internacionales de atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica ya cubren los servicios de aborto por su cuenta, y lo han hecho durante d\u00e9cadas.<\/i><\/p>\n
