Estas generosas donaciones promover\u00e1n su excelencia no solo en la investigaci\u00f3n del c\u00e1ncer, sino tambi\u00e9n en la atenci\u00f3n al paciente y marcar\u00e1n una gran diferencia en la vida de muchas personas. OHSU es una universidad de investigaci\u00f3n prominente a nivel nacional y el \u00fanico centro de salud acad\u00e9mico p\u00fablico de Oreg\u00f3n. En septiembre de 2013, el cofundador de Nike, Phil Knight, y su esposa, Penny, se comprometieron a donar $500 millones si OHSU recaudaba otros $500 millones para combatir el c\u00e1ncer.
