WASHINGTON DC - <\/b>El senador de Oreg\u00f3n, Jeff Merkley, anunci\u00f3 hoy que el Comit\u00e9 de Asignaciones del Senado aprob\u00f3 un proyecto de ley que incluye $50 millones para puertos peque\u00f1os y remotos y $135 millones para puertos de gran calado. El Senador Merkley luch\u00f3 para incluir la financiaci\u00f3n cr\u00edtica en el proyecto de ley de Asignaciones de Energ\u00eda y Agua despu\u00e9s de que fuera recortado del presupuesto del Presidente. <\/p>\n

"Las comunidades costeras de Oregon dependen de sus puertos locales y a lo largo de los a\u00f1os hemos visto nuestras inversiones en infraestructura debilitarse hasta el punto en que nuestros puertos rurales est\u00e1n al borde del colapso", dijo Merkley. \u201cNo podemos seguir defraudando nuestro futuro al subfinanciar gravemente nuestra infraestructura h\u00eddrica. Hoy hemos dado un paso adelante para poner fin a este ciclo al reservar $50 millones para puertos peque\u00f1os y remotos.
