En Beaverton, Thornhill rechaza el cumplido. "Probablemente ya ten\u00eda la idea", dijo el martes. "Me da m\u00e1s cr\u00e9dito del que deber\u00eda".<\/p>\n

Thornhill, de 83 a\u00f1os, es un vigoroso marinero retirado y administrador civil del ej\u00e9rcito, de pelo blanco, que pasa muchos d\u00edas en el Centro Elsie Stuhr <\/a>en Beaverton. \u00c9l y Atsuko, su esposa durante 60 a\u00f1os, se han establecido en el suburbio de Portland.<\/p>\n

La disposici\u00f3n tiene sus ra\u00edces en Salem, donde Thornhill fue para instar a la Legislatura a adoptarla. Con la ayuda del entonces senador.
