\u201cEs sencillamente escandaloso que en el a\u00f1o 2014 todos los estadounidenses no reciban el mismo salario por el mismo trabajo\u201d, afirm\u00f3 Merkley. \u201cEsta es una cuesti\u00f3n de justicia e igualdad b\u00e1sicas. Tambi\u00e9n es un enorme problema de bolsillo para las mujeres de Oreg\u00f3n y sus familias. Las brechas salariales r\u00e1pidamente suman miles de d\u00f3lares. Se trata de dinero real que marca una verdadera diferencia a la hora de pagar una hipoteca, arreglar un coche o comprar alimentos.<\/p>\n
