This must be remedied,&rdquo; <strong>dijo Merkley.<\/strong> &ldquo;We can strengthen the long-term health of the program without pricing families out of their homes.&nbsp; I am pleased that last month&rsquo;s hearing helped mobilize a bipartisan coalition committed to giving homeowners relief.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In September, Merkley chaired a hearing in his Economic Policy subcommittee on flood insurance rate spikes and possible solutions.&nbsp; He then assembled a bipartisan working group of Senators concerned about the problems, which led to today&rsquo;s legislation.<\/p>\n<p>El <em>Ley de asequibilidad del seguro contra inundaciones para propietarios de viviendas<\/em> voluntad:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">SECCI\u00d3N 1. FINANCIAMIENTO DEL ESTUDIO DE ASEQUIBILIDAD<\/span><\/p>\n<p>La secci\u00f3n 100236 de Biggert-Waters requer\u00eda que FEMA produjera un estudio que considerara los efectos que tendr\u00e1 el proyecto de ley sobre la asequibilidad.
