Churchill recibi\u00f3 una subvenci\u00f3n de $425,000 de la Subvenci\u00f3n de Revitalizaci\u00f3n de Educaci\u00f3n T\u00e9cnica y Profesional (CTE) del estado para crear un nuevo plan de estudios STEM. El a\u00f1o pasado, la Junta Escolar de Eugene 4J tambi\u00e9n asign\u00f3 $2,5 millones en bonos de consolidaci\u00f3n escolar para el nuevo STEM Studio.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>El <em>Ley de Educaci\u00f3n STEM para la Econom\u00eda Global<\/em> que el Senador Merkley present\u00f3 la semana pasada ayudar\u00e1 a mejorar la instrucci\u00f3n en materias STEM. La legislaci\u00f3n tiene como objetivo:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mejorar la participaci\u00f3n de los estudiantes y aumentar el acceso de los estudiantes a cursos en materias STEM;<\/li>\n<li>Reclutar, capacitar y apoyar a maestros altamente efectivos en materias STEM y proporcionar herramientas y apoyos s\u00f3lidos para estudiantes y maestros;<\/li>\n<li>Cerrar las brechas en el rendimiento de los estudiantes y preparar a m\u00e1s estudiantes para estar encaminados hacia la preparaci\u00f3n universitaria y profesional.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Merkley tambi\u00e9n planea introducir una legislaci\u00f3n que establezca un programa de subvenciones para apoyar los programas CTE de secundaria y preparatoria que brinden una educaci\u00f3n t\u00e9cnica m\u00e1s pr\u00e1ctica.
