La guerra de Irak se libr\u00f3 sobre la premisa incorrecta de que Irak ten\u00eda un programa de armas de destrucci\u00f3n masiva que planteaba una amenaza directa a los Estados Unidos de Am\u00e9rica. Este no era el caso. El Presidente Obama hizo bien en trazar el camino para poner fin a esta guerra durante su campa\u00f1a y felicito su \u00e9xito en el cumplimiento de su promesa.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEs importante recordar que, mientras nos vamos de Irak, los estadounidenses todav\u00eda est\u00e1n librando una guerra feroz en Afganist\u00e1n.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEn Afganist\u00e1n hemos logrado nuestros principales objetivos. Hemos destruido los campos de entrenamiento de Al Qaeda y hemos llevado ante la justicia a los responsables del 11 de septiembre. Desafortunadamente, hemos adoptado una estrategia adicional de construcci\u00f3n de una naci\u00f3n que enfrenta enormes obst\u00e1culos y consume una enorme proporci\u00f3n de nuestros recursos militares y econ\u00f3micos. Esta misi\u00f3n es imprudente e inalcanzable, e insto a nuestro Presidente a que tambi\u00e9n ponga fin r\u00e1pidamente a este conflicto.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTanto en Irak como en Afganist\u00e1n, nuestros hombres y mujeres uniformados est\u00e1n haciendo absolutamente todo lo que les hemos pedido.
