La legislaci\u00f3n tiene como objetivo:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mejorar la participaci\u00f3n de los estudiantes y aumentar el acceso de los estudiantes a cursos en materias STEM;<\/li>\n<li>Reclutar, capacitar y apoyar a docentes altamente calificados y eficaces en materias STEM;<\/li>\n<li>Cerrar las brechas de rendimiento estudiantil y preparar a m\u00e1s estudiantes para que est\u00e9n encaminados hacia la preparaci\u00f3n y el \u00e9xito universitario y profesional en estas materias.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Al senador Merkley se unieron en el evento de hoy Morgan Anderson de Intel y Savannah Loberger, una estudiante de tercer a\u00f1o de la Escuela Secundaria Hillsboro que organiz\u00f3 un campamento tecnol\u00f3gico de verano para ni\u00f1as para ense\u00f1ar a las j\u00f3venes sobre temas de ciencia y tecnolog\u00eda e interesarlas en tomar m\u00e1s clases de ciencia y matem\u00e1ticas. o participar en actividades STEM despu\u00e9s de la escuela.
