La Ley de Ni\u00f1os Saludables y Sin Hambre proporcionar\u00e1 $4.5 mil millones para mejorar el Programa Nacional de Almuerzos Escolares, promover los beneficios para la salud de la lactancia materna y establecer nuevos est\u00e1ndares nutricionales nacionales para ayudar a los ni\u00f1os a comer alimentos m\u00e1s saludables en la escuela.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&quot;La obesidad infantil es una epidemia grave en Estados Unidos y tenemos la obligaci\u00f3n con nuestros ni\u00f1os de mejorar la calidad nutricional de los alimentos que consumen&quot;, dijo Merkley. \u201cSi queremos que nuestros hijos lleven una vida m\u00e1s saludable, debemos brindarles opciones m\u00e1s saludables que los refrescos, las papas fritas y la pizza.
