El verano pasado, escuch\u00e9 a estos veteranos testificar ante miembros del Congreso sobre los impactos en la salud de los materiales t\u00f3xicos a los que estuvieron expuestos. Me ha conmovido el sufrimiento que contin\u00faan experimentando debido a las malas normas ambientales a las que fueron sometidos mientras serv\u00edan en Irak. <\/p>\n<p><p>\u201cFueron los soldados de Oreg\u00f3n quienes se arriesgaron al entablar litigios contra las pr\u00e1cticas de los contratistas en Irak y sacaron a la luz por primera vez los problemas generalizados del cromo hexavalente.
