Seg\u00fan uno de los autores, un solo Orb puede contener alrededor de 1 miligramo de nicotina aproximadamente, igual a la cantidad de un cigarrillo t\u00edpico, y suficiente para enfermar a un ni\u00f1o peque\u00f1o. Ingerir un pu\u00f1ado de gr\u00e1nulos podr\u00eda ser letal.<\/p>\n<p>El a\u00f1o pasado, el Congreso aprob\u00f3 y el presidente firm\u00f3 una legislaci\u00f3n hist\u00f3rica que permite a la FDA regular los productos de tabaco por primera vez. Como parte de esa legislaci\u00f3n, los senadores Merkley y Brown lucharon con \u00e9xito por la inclusi\u00f3n de una disposici\u00f3n que requer\u00eda que la FDA emitiera un estudio acelerado de caramelos de tabaco que acababan de salir al mercado en ese momento.
