\nemiti\u00f3 hoy la siguiente declaraci\u00f3n sobre el anuncio del Departamento de
\nTrabajo que la tasa de desempleo nacional salt\u00f3 al 10,2 por ciento, la m\u00e1s alta
\ntasa desde 1983:<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cLa tasa de desempleo no es
\nS\u00f3lo una estad\u00edstica que utilizamos para medir el estado de la econom\u00eda. \u00c9l
\nrepresenta no cientos, ni miles, sino millones de familias que est\u00e1n
\nluchando con la p\u00e9rdida de un trabajo. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cLos economistas pueden decir que ahora estamos en una recuperaci\u00f3n, pero
\nA esas familias la recesi\u00f3n se prolonga. En Main Street, no existe tal
\ncosa una 'recuperaci\u00f3n sin empleo'. Para salir realmente de esta recesi\u00f3n, tenemos que
\npara crear empleos. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cDespu\u00e9s de una ca\u00edda econ\u00f3mica como la que hemos tenido en el pasado
\ndieciocho meses, no hay respuestas f\u00e1ciles para la recuperaci\u00f3n. Pero debemos centrarnos
\ncomo un l\u00e1ser en la creaci\u00f3n de empleo. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cA principios de esta semana, el Congreso aprob\u00f3 un proyecto de ley que proporcionar\u00e1
\nOregonianos sin trabajo con 20 semanas adicionales de desempleo
\nbeneficios. Este dinero ir\u00e1 a parar a los bolsillos de quienes m\u00e1s probablemente gastar\u00e1n
\nhacerlo r\u00e1pidamente y ayudar a las empresas locales. Entrar\u00e1 en vigor despu\u00e9s
\nrecibe hoy la firma del presidente Obama.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cLa Ley de Recuperaci\u00f3n contin\u00faa creando y salvando empleos, teniendo
\ncreado m\u00e1s de 9.500 en Oreg\u00f3n desde que se aprob\u00f3 en enero, evitando al mismo tiempo
\nrecortes catastr\u00f3ficos en el presupuesto estatal que nos habr\u00edan costado miles de puestos de trabajo. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

"Pero necesitamos hacer m\u00e1s. Tenemos que recuperar nuestros bancos.
\nprestar nuevamente a peque\u00f1as empresas para que puedan crecer y contratar empleados. Tenemos
\nsolidificar nuestro creciente sector de energ\u00eda limpia para que los trabajadores de Oreg\u00f3n y los estadounidenses
\nlos trabajadores son due\u00f1os de la pr\u00f3xima gran industria en crecimiento. Deber\u00edamos ponernos a trabajar en una
\nProyecto de ley de transporte atrasado que podr\u00eda aportar miles de millones de d\u00f3lares a las carreteras necesarias.
\ny proyectos ferroviarios en tr\u00e1mite. Estoy trabajando duro en cada uno de estos.
\ncuestiones para dar a nuestra econom\u00eda un impulso que le permita cambiar la situaci\u00f3n.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cNo conseguiremos que los estadounidenses vuelvan a trabajar esperando una
