El programa de inversi\u00f3n y reducci\u00f3n de la contaminaci\u00f3n establecido por<br \/>\nel proyecto de ley reduce la contaminaci\u00f3n que amenaza la salud de los ni\u00f1os y causa<br \/>\ncalentamiento global, y hace que los contaminadores paguen por invertir en tecnolog\u00edas de energ\u00eda limpia para<br \/>\ntransformar nuestra econom\u00eda. La reducci\u00f3n del 20 por ciento de la contaminaci\u00f3n del proyecto de ley del Senado<br \/>\nes un aumento sobre la reducci\u00f3n del 17 por ciento en el proyecto de ley de la C\u00e1mara y aumenta<br \/>\ninversi\u00f3n en tecnolog\u00edas de energ\u00eda limpia.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>Reducir nuestra dependencia del petr\u00f3leo extranjero al<br \/>\naumentar la inversi\u00f3n en transporte p\u00fablico y otros medios de transporte<br \/>\ninfraestructura. Para ahorrar petr\u00f3leo y emitir menos contaminaci\u00f3n causante del calentamiento global, la<br \/>\nproyecto de ley establece un programa para las principales \u00e1reas metropolitanas y estados para planificar<br \/>\ninfraestructura de transporte a largo plazo que reduce la dependencia del petr\u00f3leo y cumple<br \/>\nobjetivos de reducci\u00f3n de la contaminaci\u00f3n, similares a los que tiene el \u00e1rea metropolitana de Portland<br \/>\nya comenc\u00e9 a hacer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">La Ley de Empleos de Energ\u00eda Limpia y Energ\u00eda Estadounidense reduce adicionalmente la contaminaci\u00f3n al<br \/>\nmantener las herramientas de la Ley de Aire Limpio para que la EPA pueda continuar us\u00e1ndola para<br \/>\nreducir la contaminaci\u00f3n que amenaza la salud de los ni\u00f1os, responsabilizar a los contaminadores,<br \/>\ny asegurar la inversi\u00f3n en la tecnolog\u00eda de energ\u00eda m\u00e1s limpia.
