Washington, DC \u2013 Un proyecto de ley de tierras p\u00fablicas largamente demorado dio un paso importante hacia la aprobaci\u00f3n final hoy.  <\/span>El Senador de Oreg\u00f3n, Jeff Merkley, emiti\u00f3 su primer voto en el Senado de los EE. UU. a favor de avanzar en esta importante legislaci\u00f3n.  <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cLos habitantes de Oregon est\u00e1n orgullosos de nuestra larga tradici\u00f3n de proteger nuestros tesoros naturales para las generaciones futuras.  <\/span>Este proyecto de ley da un impulso a ese esfuerzo al expandir las protecciones para algunas de las \u00e1reas silvestres m\u00e1s ic\u00f3nicas y especiales de nuestro estado\u201d, dijo Merkley.  <\/span>\u201cDesear\u00eda que este proyecto de ley se hubiera aprobado antes, pero estoy muy orgulloso de poder emitir mi primer voto en apoyo de los recursos naturales de Oreg\u00f3n\u201d. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

El proyecto de ley de tierras p\u00fablicas consta de numerosas leyes que fueron bloqueadas de consideraci\u00f3n durante el \u00faltimo Congreso.  <\/span>Entre esos proyectos de ley hay cinco que afectar\u00edan directamente a Oreg\u00f3n:  <\/span>la Ley de \u00e1reas silvestres de cobre y salm\u00f3n, la Ley de \u00e1reas silvestres de Lewis y Clark Mount Hood de 2007, la Ley de \u00e1reas silvestres de Oregon Badlands de 2008, la Ley de \u00e1reas silvestres de Spring Basin de 2008 y la Ley de resoluci\u00f3n de conflictos de pastoreo voluntario y equitativo del Monumento Nacional Cascade Siskiyou.  <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
