Senator seeks Oregon students to work in D.C.

U.S. Senate seeks student pages

High school juniors and seniors looking to work for the U.S. Senate can put their names in the hat now.

Sen. Jeff Merkley, D-Oregon, is taking applications from students to join the summer 2017 Senate page program. Pages help deliver bills, correspondence and legislative material in Congress.

A senator must appoint and sponsor pages, who work for the Senate as a whole. They get a stipend, live in a dorm near the U.S. Capitol and attend classes while doing their page duties.
