Portland, OR – Oregon’s Senator Jeff Merkley announced today that Jessica Stevens has been promoted to state director, replacing Jeanne Atkins, who retired. Stevens has worked with Merkley since 2012, when she joined the team as State Field Director.
“Jessica brings tremendous management skills and has strong relationships with Oregonians throughout the state,” said Merkley. “Jessica is the right leader to help our state team continue the fight to strengthen Oregon’s middle class families. She has been in the middle of efforts to give working Oregonians a brighter future for years and is an experienced coalition builder. She will make sure that I’m in a position to make Oregon’s voice is heard in Washington.”
Stevens will lead Senator Merkley’s Oregon operation which includes six offices across the state and a staff that is dedicated to providing outreach to constituents, businesses, government leaders and organizations on behalf of the Senator.
