After deadly floods in Umatilla County, community meeting scheduled

PENDLETON, Ore. – A community meeting is set to convene in Pendleton on Tuesday to help people and businesses impacted by February’s deadly flooding in Umatilla County.

Anyone who was affected by the floods is invited to attend the event, scheduled to take place from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Pendleton Convention Center.

Representatives of Sens. Ron Wyden, Jeff Merkley, Rep. Greg Walden and Gov. Kate Brown are scheduled to attend.

On Monday, the state’s Joint Emergency Board approved about $11.6 million in relief for parts of Eastern Oregon recovering from the floods.
