Merkley Announces Pendleton Office And Field Representative
Pendleton office is open for business. Office will serve Baker, Grant, Harney, Lake, Malheur, Morrow, Umatilla, Union and Wallowa Counties.
Portland – Oregon’s Senator Jeff Merkley announced today
that his Pendleton office is now open for business. Elizabeth
Scheeler in Pendleton will be his field representative for Baker, Grant, Harney, Lake, Malheur, Morrow, Umatilla,
Union and Wallowa Counties.
“Eastern Oregon faces a tough economy with record levels of unemployment. It’s important that I’m able to connect with Oregonians in every Eastern Oregon community about their economic needs and our recovery goals,” Merkley said. “I’m pleased to have someone with Elizabeth’s extensive experience and community connections as my representative as we chart a path to economic recovery.”
Scheeler has lived in Pendleton since 1988. She most recently worked as the Education Coordinator for the Pendleton Center for the Arts and served on the Pendleton School Board for the last 8 years. She received a BS in Resource Recreation Management from the College of Forestry at Oregon State University and has worked for the United States Forest Service in both Ukiah and Pendleton.
Scheeler has been an active community volunteer and served in a variety of positions for the Pendleton Branch of the American Association of University Women.
Scheeler will be based in the Senator’s Pendleton office.
